Physical and mechanical properties of aluminum alloys may be reached through the addition of alloying elements, known as aluminum master alloys.

AMG Brazil provides aluminum master alloys which easily react and solubilize on the final alloy even in low temperatures, reducing the formation of unreacted phases, increasing the productivity, reducing the consumption of energy and increasing the useful life of furnace refractories.

Different aluminum master alloys may be produced by AMG Brazil, including Ca, Co, Cu, Cr, Mn, Mg, Ni, Si, Ti, V, Zr, Zr-V, Fe, Fe-Si among others. They also may be provided in different concentrations and formats, depending on the client’s process and the types of master alloys.

Silicon Aluminum is a master alloy used for incorporating the silicon in alloys containing this element, such as the series 4000 and 6000 alloys or alloys for casting. The use of this master alloy provides a quick dissolution of silicon on the bath, increasing the productivity and enhancing the homogeneity of the final product.
Iron Silicon Aluminum master alloy is appropriated for incorporation of iron and silicon to the alloy bath which needs these elements, such as 8011 alloy, used in the production of aluminum sheets. AMG Brazil currently provides this alloy in concentrations of 15% iron and 7.5% silicon, providing a high productivity and a reduction of flaws in the final product.
Some alloys require in its compositions higher rates of titanium. Titanium aluminum alloy is the best option to these additions, due to its low melting point when compared with other titanium sources, providing a high productivity and a reduction of flaws in the final product.
